about
ABOUT HANAHIMERO

Hanahimero is the only place in Dogo where you can experience traditional
Japanese entertainment and geisha culture.
n order to recreate the lively atmosphere of old-time Dogo, and to revitalize the economy
by improving the attractions of the local area,
we created Ochaya Hanahimero in a renovated traditional Japanese house
located close to Dogo Onsen Honkan.
Here you can experience the traditional style and hospitality of Dogo,
in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

  • ozashiki

Ozashiki is a place where you can experience the extraordinary with luxuriant hospitality.

Ozashiki is when a geiko, the successor of traditional performing arts,
performs buyo (Japanese traditional dance), nagauta (traditional Japanese music),
and shamisen (three-stringed traditional Japanese musical instrument).

After the performances, you can enjoy a meal and sake while chatting with the geiko.
Then it’s time for ozashiki asobi (geisha games). These innocent but hilarious games have been carefully handed down from generations.
